ROSE CITY ATHLETICS

Rose City Athletics was founded in January of 2024 in Springfield, OH with the goal of helping younger athletes with reaching a greater potential and staying healthy in the process.

We strive to mold athletes into the best version of themselves and to get better each year they compete. We are not here to promise anyone a Division I scholarship to their dream school. What we are here to promise is athletes will be better every time they step on the field or court every time they play.

Athlete health is our main priority. Our founder, Matt Jarzab, was unable to play 11 games in his varsity high school career due to injury that he will never get back. He never wants to see the same happen to anyone. From stretching properly, to building muscle and building skill, Rose City Athletics is here with you every step of the way.

FOUNDER

My name is Matthew Jarzab. I was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio where I attended Shawnee High School lettering in football, track and powerlifting and received many conference and state honors. After graduation, I decided to enlist in the United States Army Reserve as well as attend Otterbein University where I lettered in football playing defensive back and ran sprints in track and field. After graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management, I continued working in strength and conditioning as well as furthered my military career.

I recently signed to be an Army Reserve Drill Sergeant for the foreseeable future. Sports have been my life for as long as I can remember. I love to compete and push myself and others to be the best they can be. I now have the honor to coach wide receivers and corners at West Liberty-Salem High School with my dad and brother by my side on Friday nights. Coaching has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I plan to continue as long as I am able to help young athletes reach their full potential, succeed at their goals, and attain their dreams they visualized since they were in middle school walking in the locker room for the first time.
